The tanker water rate in Bengaluru will shock you

Synopsis

There is increase in the demand for water in Bengaluru As Cauvery water comes once in two days, Bengalureans are dependent on tanker water But the tanker owners have increased the rate of water supply in the city

Every year the Silicon city faces water problems. But the government is not bothered as the tanker mafia has taken up the task of providing water at a very high rate. People cannot protest against it because everyone needs water and it is one of the basic needs.

Well aware of this situation, the owners have increased the rates of water supplied through tankers. It is true that with disrupted Cauvery water supply, the demand for tanker water also has gone up.

Thus at some places in Bengaluru, the tanker water is costing Rs 500 to Rs 1,000. In most of the places, 6,000 litres of water will cost Rs 500, and the same quantity is being supplied at Whitefield, Sarjapur and KR Puram for Rs 1,000.

Currently, some wards in Bengaluru are receiving Cauvery water once in two days. The pipeline work at the wards which have been included recently in BBMP limits is still not complete, forcing the people in those areas to be dependent on tanker water for all their needs.

Thus, increase in the rate of tanker water is a shocker for the people who are dependent on tanker water for all their needs. Still, the BBMP has not taken any action against the tanker owners and have left people with no choice but to buy the costly water.

Recently, the Suvarna News had investigated the source of water for the profitable tanker business. The source of water will really make you think twice before drinking the water from the tanker.
