Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao met former Prime Minister and Janata Dal-Secular (JDS) chief H D Devegowda on Friday at his Bengaluru residence. The meeting was to discuss the possibility of a third front in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress.

Deve Gowda ventured out to greet and welcome the Telangana Chief Minister. KCR, as Chandrasekhar Rao is popularly known, reached Deve Gowda's residence at around 12.30 PM. Veteran actor Prakash Raj also accompanied them.

"While H D Devegowda has spoken about the Third Front in the past, we will wait for the proposal KCR has for us. For now, the meeting has been scheduled," confirmed a source from H D Devegowda's office to the New Indian express earlier.

Speculation is that the 'kingmaker' in Karnataka will join hands with KCR's Telugu Rashtra Samiti and Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress to fight both BJP and Congress in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
