Selfie-loving techie stranded in sea rescued

Synopsis

Despite warning boards put up not to venture into rough sea, two of 7-member techies group climbed atop a boulder in the sea to take selfies.   Soon the rough waves engulfed them and they were unable to reach shore. One managed to swim and reach shore but the other was caught. Locals informed the expert swimmer squad who arrived and rescued the youth.

A group of seven techies from KR Pura, Bengaluru, were in Surathkal for holidays. There were boards out up warning against getting into water as the sea was very rough, especially during rainy season. As there was low tide when they arrived, two boys ignored the warning and went on to a boulder in the sea to take selfies. Soon the tide rose and huge waves started lashing the boulder.

One boy somehow managed to swim and reach shore. But Bharat, was stranded and helpless. Finally, he called out for help. The locals informed the expert swimming squad, who arrived and rescued the boy, reports Kannada Prabha.
