Police identify man who stabbed actor Jaggesh's son in road rage

The accused has been identified as Shivashankar He stabbed Gururaj for questioning him for speeding The incident occurred when Gururaj was on his way to drop his kids to school

The RT Nagar police have identified the man who stabbed Sandalwood actor Jaggesh's son Gururaj at a traffic junction on Monday. The accused has been identified as Shivashankar. According to reports, he allegedly brushed his Red Swift car (KA 04 ML 8883) against Gururaj's car and kicked up a row when questioned. In a spur of the moment, he stabbed Gururaj and fled from the scene. Gururaj was later rushed to the hospital. 

Jaggesh told a news channel that his son was stabbed in a road rage. "It appears that the miscreant could be a rowdy who stabbed my son without any reason," Jaggesh told the news channel. He denied any personal enmity or rivalry in the incident.

"I'm really saddened by the incident. No one came to my help when he attacked me with a dagger." Gururaj told mediapersons that the miscreant brushed his car against Gururaj's car and I questioned him about that. This apparently irked him and he attacked me with a dagger. "Even after I told him that Jaggesh is my father, he attacked me," Gururaj told media persons.
