
Considering change issues, the BMTC has revised the fare from previous Rs 12 to Rs 10. Besides, the fare has been increased in stages 3,6 and 8 by Re 1.
The corporation has also revised the AC bus fares - for stage 1 - it will be Rs 10 from Rs 15; Rs 30 from Rs 35 in stage 3; Rs 40 from Rs 45 in stage 4 and Rs 90 from Rs 95 for stage 5.
The move is expected to benefit at least 50 per cent of passengers who travel mostly in stage 2 where the ticket price has been revised to Rs 10 from Rs 12. But it is going to have financial implications on the corporation. Yet, the corporation has decided to revise the fare to benefit the passengers, said Transport minister Ramalinga Reddy.
