
The Southern Railway that has launched a team to rescue women and children have rescued three children from outside State within one week in Bengaluru Railway Station, reports Kannada Prabha.
A 17-year-old girl from Rajasthan and two boys from Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu who were kidnapped were rescued by the team. Their parents were contacted and informed about their children said SP, RPF, Debashmitha Chattopadhyay.
The railway security squad found a girl in a helpless condition at the platform three days ago. When they inquired, she said she was given some cool drink by strangers at a market near her house in Rajasthan. After drinking she fainted and when she woke up she found herself in this railway station, she said. When City police contacted Rajasthan police, it was found that her parents had lodged a missing person complaint at the local police station. They were informed about the girl and she was handed over to her father. Further investigations will be conducted by Rajasthan police, said SP.
The Railway Security Squad has rescued around 600 persons from July till now between Vasco in Goa and Bengaluru. They keep an eye on women and children under suspicious behaviour and take them into custody and inquire
