Pro-Pakistan posts in FB: 2 cases filed one arrested

Synopsis

Two cases of sedition are booked in two different regions of Haveri and Belagavi for posting pro-Pakistan comments for winning the ICC Championship Trophy. In Kasargod, cases have been filed against 22 persons for celebrating the victory of Pakistan, following a complaint by a BJP leader A man in Tumakuru was forced to apologise after his post on Pakistan's win went viral

Cases of posting pro-Pakistan comments and celebrating for Pakistan winning the ICC Championship Trophy are on the rise. Two cases are filed in Haveri and Belagavi. Police arrested one Mustafa Abdul Saba Padathara (24) in Belagavi’s Bauxite Road in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar for posting derogatory statement about India, supporting Pakistan.

Naseer Ahmed Babajaan Doddamani (25) of Hattimattur village, Savanur taluk, Haveri district had created and posted an obscene video scene derogatory to India, through his mobile phone onto his Facebook wall. He was also arrested, reports Kannada Prabha.

In Kasargod, police filed cases against 23 for celebrating the victory of Pakistan. Razak, Masood, Siraj and 20 others gathered and celebrated Pakistan winning the cricket trophy. BJP leader Rajesh Shetty had filed a complaint against them, alleging sedition. They were booked under unlawful gathering and creating public nuisance.
