The film has completed seven weeks in theaters and has already earned a gross of Rs. 46 crore. The film is continuing its run in the Gandhinagar area of Bengaluru and the Malnad region after a recent visit by the actor himself.
However, the box office collections do not mean the film has the highest audience of all time. Films like Om (1995) and Jogi (2005) have audiences thronging the theatres even now. The higher box office collection is due to the rise of multiplexes in the city as well as an increase in ticket prices.
Industry experts are of the opinion that films of today cannot be compared to the films released even ten years ago. They claim that Raajkumara cannot even be compared to Mungaaru Male which was released a decade ago since the multiplex boom started 5-6 years ago.
