Karnataka is the only state in the country which has a flag of its own. though it has centuries of history, it is not the official flag. The Indian Constitution does not allow any state to have their own official flag. But the state of Jammu and Kashmir have a flag but this is an exception and the state has been granted special privileges. But the Karnataka government is now trying to make the flag official.
