'Padmavati' Deepika Padukone in Davangere to extend financial help to spread mental health awareness

Deepika Padukone visited Jagaluru primary health centre and interacted with ASHA workers She extended support through her The Live Love Laugh Foundation Deepika's mother, sister and counsellor accompanied her 

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone who is busy with Sanjay Leela Bansali's epic movie, 'Padmavati' took her time out to do something that she deeply cares for. With her Live Love Foundation, she extended support towards mental health patients in Pallaghatte and Bilichod villages of Jagalur taluk in Davangere district, on Tuesday. The foundation is extending financial support to the Jagalur primary centre to create awareness on mental health and also for the treatment.

 

Deepika also held an interaction with the ASHA workers of the health centre. Deepika's sister Anisha Padukone and mother Ujjala Padukone were also with her. Besides, her counsellors Anna Chandy and psychiatrist Shyam Bhat were also with her.

The Live Love Laugh Foundation was an initiative by Deepika Padukone to create awareness on mental health. Deepika Padukone had claimed that she suffered from depression, fought the stigma attached to it before she received the help in the form of counselling. Her counsellor Anna Chandy and psychiatrist Dr Shyam Bhat are also on board of The Live Love Laugh Foundation. The foundation's initiative #Dobarapoocho urging everyone to ask again to anyone who hides the pain behind the smile had received a tremendous response.
