Operation Kamala: BJP tries to make a lotus out of seven JD(S) MLAs?

Synopsis

It looks like the BJP in Karnataka is trying to find strength from outsiders through Operation Kamala again It is reported that BJP is keen on getting seven JD(S) MLAs on board, but so far there is no confirmation from the other side. Only time can tell if JD(S) MLAs will join BJP.

It looks like the BJP in Karnataka is trying to find strength from outsiders through Operation Kamala again. Repeated efforts to stop the infighting has gone in vain, and the party is likely to pull winning horses from other parties, say sources.

One India reported that BJP is keen on getting seven JD(S) MLAs on board, but so far there is no confirmation from the other side.

However, it is better if BJP  looks back as most of the infighting has been caused because of undue attention and importance to those who have joined from other parties and neglecting those who have worked for the strengthening of the party.

Sources have said that the BJP leaders have had one round of talks with seven JD(S) MLAs and are gearing up for another round of talks.

According to One India, Shivamogga Rural MLA Sharada Pooryaniak, Nelamangala MLA Shivaraj patil, Shidlaghatta MLA M Rajanna, Lingasugoor MLA Manappa Vajjal have been contacted.

Channapatna Congress MLA CP Yogeshwar has already joined BJP.

However, in the case of most of the MLAs from JD(S), they have said that they will contest from their party and will not join BJP.

Moreover, parallel to Parivarthan Yathra of BJP, the JD(S) too also has organised Kumara Parva programme to reach out to people.

As there is already a disappointment in the core BJP members about including the non-BJP leaders into the party, this Operation Kamala might not give positive results.

Only time can tell if JD(S) MLAs will join BJP.
