Not-so-nice, girl loots night travellers on Nice Road: 12 arrested

The girl would lure night travelers on Nice Road to a secluded spot and the gang would loot them. Electronic City police arrested 12 and confiscated gold ornaments and bikes worth Rs15 lakhs. Mastermind Bablu scored 86 per cent in PUC but fell into bad company, dropped out, entered criminal world

Monisha, a smart girl would stand at Nice Road and lure night travellers. She would sweet talk them and take them to a secluded spot. The gang would then strike and loot the gullible victim.

This has come to light when Electronic City police arrested 1 gang of 12, consisting Savan alias Bablu, Monisha, Muttu, Puneeth alias Kadi, Tulasiram, Arun Yesuraj, Stephan Raj alias Mukadi, Vighnesh alias Deela, Doddaballapur Amar, Holavanahalli Shanthakumar, Pedda Belagondapalli Keshavamurthy and R T Nagar Deepak George and confiscated gold ornaments and bikes worth Rs 15 lakhs.

The police were on the lookout for criminals who were looting night travellers on Nice Road. Three complaints were registered at Electronic City police station. All the cases were similar. Concluding that the same gang was behind all three crimes, the police arrested Bablu of Begur on suspicion as he was earlier involved in similar crime. He confessed to the crime.

It can be recalled that Savan alias Bablu was arrested in 2016 by Bannerghatta police in connection with highway robbery and he had attempted suicide by drinking phenol at the station toilet and created high drama. Later he was released on bail. He however continued his criminal activities.

Savan alias Bablu was a bright student and had scored 86 per cent in PUC. However he fell into bad company with Rody Raghu alias Chappar, dropped out of college and entered criminal world. He was a close associate of rowdies Santosh alias Galate, Oscar alias Dosaga, Ananda alias Kembhara and Sunil.
