Karnataka: Now register your marriage online

State Stamps and Registration Department has come forward to register marriages online, just like property registration. The bride and groom who wish to register their marriage should upload their identification card data. An official registration certificate will reach their door step at the registered address

The State government has decided to simplify marriage registration. State Stamps and Registration Department has come forward to register marriages online, just like property registration.  

The bride and groom who wish to register their marriage should upload their identification card data and an official registration certificate will reach their door step at the registered address, reported Kannada Prabha.

This step will help lovers. In the beginning this facility is available only in Bengaluru.  After evaluating the response the service will be extended to other parts of the State by the end of the year or by next April. Public can submit application like for any other project and the marriage registration certificate will arrive to their registered address within 3 to 4 days, said the department.
