Malur villagers heave sigh of relief as forest personnel capture leopard

Synopsis

The leopard had been frequenting the village since a few days It had grievously attacked a man and the villagers were scared to venture out after dark The captured big cat will be released into the forest

A leopard that had unleashed a terror  in Ullerahalli village in Malur taluk of Kolar district has been finally captured by the forest personnel. The leopard had grievously injured a villager, Narayanaswami a few days ago causing tension in the village. The terrified villagers had urged the forest department personnel to catch the big cat as they were scared to venture out after sunset.

The forest personnel had kept a cage near the hillock in the village and the leopard has been trapped in it. People thronged to see the big cat. The big cat will be released to the wild, soon, said the forest personnel.
