Alert driver foiled the kidnap bid of the 7-year-old son of MD, Satish Sugars. The boy was returning from school when two hooded miscreants sprayed at the car door. Driver threw stone at them and they escaped. The company is owned by former minister Satish Jarkoholi.

Tushara Vadennavara,, son of M D Siddharth Vadennavara was returning from school near Gokak Falls and he had just sat in the car, when two hooded men appeared and sprayed on the car door.  Alert driver Kallappa Tigadi took a stone and hit the miscreants who fled the scene.
