
A few weeks ahead of the Karnataka assembly elections, this man has come up with a unique way to urge his friends and family to vote. Siddappa Doddachikkannanavar, a Kannada activist from Haveri, has designed his wedding card like a voter ID. He has also handed over a copy of his wedding invite to Haveri Deputy Commissioner Dr Venkatesh and Superintendent of Police Dr K Parashurama.
The bridegroom Siddappa, a resident of Hangal town is currently working with the Railways in Goa. He is getting married to Jyoti of Ranebennuru town on April 27.
The card also has a unique number ‘SJMRG27042018’, which is a combination of the initials of the bride-groom as well as the wedding date, reported Bangalore Mirror.
The card also has a message appealing to the people to vote responsibly, "Your vote is valuable " it reads.
