Congress leader Lakshmi Hebbalkar met Governor VR Vala and submitted an appeal for reservation for women in Assembly constituencies  BJP had assured to implement 33 per cent reservation for women in both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections It's time, the Centre looked into it, the Congress leader urged 

State Women’s Congress president Lakshmi Hebbalkar has urged the Central Government to implement 33 per cent reservation for women at Lok Sabha and Vidhana Sabha elections, reports Kannada Prabha.

She met State Governor VR Vala and submitted an appeal addressed to the Prime Minister Modi. Speaking to press persons, later she said that Prime Minister Modi had assured appropriate reservation for women in his election manifesto. But even after 3-and-half-years after coming to power, he has not mentioned anything about the women’s reservation bill. She urged the prime minister to implement the bill at the earliest, she said.
