A man who killed his wife and tried to make it look like a rape and murder was finally arrested by Annapoorneshwari Nagar police, reports Kannada Prabha. The accused is identified as Kumar.

A painter by profession Kumar was married earlier but deserted his wife and married Parvathi. Parvathi too had deserted her husband and married to Kumar. They have a five-year-old daughter. On July 23, the couple had a fight and in a fit of rage Kumar had smashed Parvathi’s head to the wall and she died instantly. Panicked Kumar decided to make her death as rape. He tore her clothes and came out of the house screaming somebody raped and killed his wife. His neighbours believed him.

However, Parvathi’s parents suspected Kumar.  A case of unnatural death was filed in Annapoorneshwrai Nagar station. Later, Kumar went missing for two months. But the police's relentless effort helped him in nabbing him.
