Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy keeps Kempaiah out of meeting

Synopsis

Ramalinga Reddy called a meeting of senior police officials for the first time after taking charge as Home Minister. The Home Minister’s advisor senior police officer Kempaiah was conspicuous by his absence.

Ramalinga Reddy called a meeting of senior police officials for the first time after taking charge as Home Minister.  However, the Home Minister’s advisor senior police officer Kempaiah was conspicuous by his absence, which was significant because it was not known if Kempaiah chose to be absent or Reddy did not invite him.

Responding to this later the minister said there is no need to consult an advisor for small little things, reported Kannada Prabha.

It was the first official meeting of the Home Minister after taking charge.  Kempaiah who is the special advisor to Home Minister has not even met the minister. Even when Reddy held talks with DGP and other officials Kempaiah was not seen anywhere near the Vikasa Soudha. This has given room for wild speculations in the police circles.

When asked about it Ramalninga Reddy simply said as it was a very small issue there was no need to seek advice from him.
