
Former chief minister and JD(S) State president HD Kumaraswamy, who is suffering from cough and throat pain is undergoing valve replacement surgery on Sept 23, reports Kannada Prabha.
Kumaraswamy shared this information with newspersons and said he would be operated upon in a private hospital in Bengaluru and after the valve replacement, he requires 15 days of rest. "But there is nothing to worry," he said. Recently, he had been to Singapore to get a health check up done. After that, he left for Israel to study the progress of agricultural sector in the country. Since then, he has been suffering from severe cough.
It may be recalled here that after he stepped down from the CM’s office in 2007, he had undergone a surgery of throat. At that time, the doctors had advised metallic and tissue volume surgery to prevent frequent complaints. He had opted for tissue volume and it as been 10 years since he underwent that surgery. Now that the cough has not subsided even after medication, the doctors have advised him to undergo valve replacement surgery.
