Gauri Lankesh murder: The man who provided the gun taken into custody by SIT for questioning

Naveen, an alleged member of the Hindu outfit in Mandya, Karnataka, has been taken into custody by the SIT for a week, for questioning. He has been charged with providing arms to kill journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh.

According to Suvarna TV: Upparpet police had held Naveen near Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic) in Bengaluru under the Arms Act on February 18. On a tip off that he was selling bullets near KSRTC bus stop, he was picked up by the police.

Naveen had allegedly held a meeting with the accused, who had killed Gauri.

The CCB produced him in front of the Magistrate. The SIT had earlier arrested four others in this regard.

A 35 calibre gun and 15 bullets were seized from the accused, Naveen.
