I was a nobody until that tweet, says man who abused Gauri Lankesh on Twitter

Nikhil Dadhich had put out a nasty and abusive tweet on Gauri Lankesh's killing After he was trolled, he deleted the tweet, but the damage had already been done He runs a garment shop in Surat, and his twitter profile is now changed to Hindu Nationalist

"It was just a normal tweet," is how casually Nikhil Dadhich defended his abusive (to say the least) tweet on the killing of journalist Gauri Lankesh to The Indian Express. Soon after the journalist-activist's killing, Dadhich had put out a nasty tweet where he called Gauri Lankesh a bitch and termed her killing as "A bitch died a dog's death and see how her puppies are wailing in pain over her death." This had earned him the ire from the twitterati from all over forcing him delete the tweet, since then.

While he was condemned for his nasty tweet what made the tweeple bay for his blood was that he was being followed by none other than prime minister Narendra Modi among his 31.4 followers!

"I have never heard of or met Gauri Lankesh. I was a nobody until that tweet. Some people gave it a political angle and created a controversy. I now receive anonymous calls and have both good and bad experiences," reports The Indian Express quoting Dadhich.

Dadhich was not at all apologetic about his tweet on Gauri Lankesh killing. The kind of words that he had used on Gauri Lankesh even though he never knew her nor met her - by his admission - makes one wonder how he could draw sadistic pleasure (with his tweet) from a stranger's brutal murder! However, now he has deleted the tweet for reasons best known to him. Journalist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead by unknown miscreants outsider her home on September 5 in Bengaluru.

Dadhichi told the Express that he does not know why Modi follows him on Twitter. "I have been active on social media including the Twitter. Modi is my ideal along with Swami Vivekananda."

According to the Express, 38-year-old Dadhich hails from Napasar in Bikaner district in Rajasthan. He was regular at the RSS shakha in the village. He reportedly graduated from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswathi (MDS) University. He is married with two children and lives with his brother's family. Dadhich runs a shop in the Hari Om market in the Ring Road area and also has a women's garment store in Salabatpura, reports The Express.

Dadhich told the Express that he had been receiving many death threats since he put out that tweet. His family members reportedly advised him to leave the town and stay in their village till the tension dies.
