FIR has been filed against Congress Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao for his statement against the UP CM Yogi Rao had said that people should beat Yogi with slippers if he enters into Karnataka again A case has been booked at the High Grounds Police Station against Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao

A case has been filed at the High Grounds Police Station based on the complaint by one B Ramachari. Dinesh Gundu Rao while addressing the candlelight march protest against the brutal Kathua rape incident.

He had said that, if UP CM Yogi comes to Karnataka again people must beat him up with slippers. This did not go down well with BJP leaders who claimed that this was a violation of the code of conduct ahead of elections in Karnataka.

BJP State President BS Yeddyurappa and MP Pratap Simha had criticised Dinesh Gundu Rao for his derogatory comments. BJP spokesperson Prakash S said that minister Rao should be booked in this regard.
