Family stranded in mid lake rescued by boat

Synopsis

An old woman and her family living in the centre of the dry lake bed were rescued by the fire brigade and disaster management squad. At Galjaladinne village in Kolar a tank had gone dry and an old woman and his son had constructed a hut in the centre and were living. When the tank filled up a little the villagers told them to vacate but they refused saying they have nowhere else to go. On Tuesday the tahsildar Vijayanna arrived at the spot and convinced them to shift to a safer place assuring them an alternative place. 

An old woman and her family living in the centre of the dry lake bed were rescued by the fire brigade and disaster management squad when the tank got flooded due to heavy rains, reported Kannada Prabha.

At Galjaladinne village in Kolar a tank had gone dry and an old woman and his son had constructed a hut in the centre and were living. When the tank filled up a little the villagers told them to vacate but they refused saying they have nowhere else to go.  

Some days ago the water in the tank started rising and the family was in the danger of drowning. On Tuesday the Tahsildar Vijayanna arrived at the spot and convinced them to shift to a safer place assuring them an alternative place. Currently the district administration has made alternate arrangement for the family.
