Ejipura cylinder blast: Little Sanjana ends her battle with life

Synopsis

Three-year-old Sanjana was the lone victim to survive the cylinder blast that brought down the building they were living in At least seven including Sanjana's parents died in the cylinder blast She had sustained over 60 per cent burn injuries

Three-year-old Sanjana who had cheated death in the cylinder blast - that killed her parents - ended her battle with life on Thursday. She succumbed to burn injuries at the Victoria Hospital.

 

Sanjana was rescued from the rubble after the building in which she was living with her parents collapsed due to cylinder blast in Ejipura, early this week. Sanjana's father Sarvana, mother Ashwini who was seven months pregnant, along with five more were killed in the incident. Sanjana was saved by an iron cupboard.

It is reported that she was showing all signs of recovery however, she reportedly died of multiple organ failures as she had sustained 60 per cent injuries.

 

 

It may be recalled here that the government had promised to adopt the little girl and Bengaluru In-charge minister KJ George had promised to take care of her medical and educational expenses.

Sanjana's relatives who were hoping against hope that she would survive the tragedy were inconsolable after the news of her death broke.
