Dinakaran meets Sasikala in jail to discuss TN political scene

Synopsis

TTV Dinakaran met AIADMK leader Sasikala Natarajan at Parappana Agrahara Central Jail. The 45 minutes meeting was to discuss the Tamil Nadu political scene. Later Dinakaran met Sasikala alone and held talks separately. AIADMK Karnataka secretary Pugalendi met her but did not distribute sweets as she was very sad.    

TTV Dinakaran met AIADMK leader Sasikala Natarajan at Parappana Agrahara Central Jail on Friday and held discussions, in the wake of political activities in the ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu. As it was also Sasikala’s birthday, MLA Parthiban, Jayanthi Padmanabha and other family members also accompanied Dinakaran. Arriving at 12.15 pm, Dinakaran and others met Sasikala as per the jail visiting rules, reported Kannada Prabha.

The 45 minutes meeting was to discuss the Tamil Nadu political scene, it is said. First all of them met Sasikala and held talks. Sources say they talked about AIADMK rebel leader, former chief minister Panneerselvam ready to merge Party, TN government deciding to order judicial probe into Jayalalithaa's death and other issues. Later Dinakaran met Sasikala alone and held talks separately.

According to jail rules inmates can have visitors once in 15 days for a period of 45 minutes. Dinakaran also met Sasikala only for 45 minutes said the jail authorities. Speaking to media persons after meeting Sasikala, Dinakaran said the judicial probe into Jayalalithaa's death is an exercise to save the chair, the government is functioning against the wishes of the Party members, truth is going to out.

Sasikala will come out as innocent. The merging of factions by Edappadi Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam is against the wishes of the Party workers. More than 20 MLAs are against this. Many MLAs are neutral, shortly they will support us, he said.

Friday being Sasikala’s birthday,  AIADMK Karnataka secretary Pugalendi met her at the jail.  But as she was very sad we did not distribute sweets, he told Kannada Prabha.
