
A couple in Mavalli, near Lalbagh committed suicide over financial trouble. However, the names of a few BBMP members mentioned in the death note has raised several eyebrows. The deceased has been identified as Nanjunadswamy (47) and his wife Pushpalatha (45). The couple is survived by son and daughter.
It is reported that Nanjundswamy used to run a Military hotel in Kalasipalya under loss. His investments in real estate too did not yield him much fortune. This had already pushed the couple to depression. Recently, they came to know about their son had borrowed huge money without their knowledge and this was reportedly the last straw.
On August 21, the couple attempted suicide by hanging at home. However, their family members immediately rushed them to the hospital but they breathed their last mid way. The couple has reportedly left a death note in which they have allegedly mentioned the names of Hemmigepura BBMP member Arya Srinivas, KG Krishna, Deve Gowda and Tejasvini Gowda as responsible for their death. However, Hemmigepura Arya Srinivas clarified that he knew the family since 18 years. They struck several deals together in real estate bnut had no business transactions. He said he has nothing to do with their death, reports Kannada Prabha.
