
A woman frustrated that the new high end bike she bought for her son broke down within three months and the company refused to replace, despite legal notice, attempted suicide at the showroom, reported Kannada Prabha.
Sarojamma (51) had bought a Dominor Bike at Rs 1.75 lakh for her son Sripad Raghav at Khivarj Motors on Kasturba Road. Within three months the engine was completely damaged. Mother and son had brought the bike to the showroom and asked then to replace it.
The showroom staff refused to do so. Sarojamma then sent a legal notice to the showroom. But the showroom sent a reply saying there was nothing wrong with the bike. A thoroughly depressed Sarojamma went to the showroom at 4 pm on Monday and consumed poison and fell down.
She was immediately rushed to Malya Hospital and is said to be out of danger. A case has been booked in this regard at Cubbon Park Police Station.
