Here are BJP's 5 questions to AICC President Rahul Gandhi, who was very courteous and concerned about women's issues during recent election rallies in Karnataka.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, National Mahila Morcha President, Vijaya Rahatkar, asked 5 questions to Rahul.
1. During the Congress regime 7,523 women were murdered, 3,873 women were raped and among them 600 were Dalits. 24,751 women were reportedly sexually assaulted. Will Congress President conduct a candle light protest in the state against all these crimes?
2. Rahul Gandhi, who is campaigning about Beti Bachao and Beti Padao in the public rallies, doesn't have an answer on appointing KC Venugopal as Karnataka in-charge, who is already allegedly facing rape charges?
3. Time and again Rahul Gandhi talks about children's death in Gorakphur, but 14 children die every day in Congress-ruled Karnataka state. What are the measures taken by the government to stop the deaths?
4. Then BJP government had initiated a maternity programme benefiting more than 5 lakh pregnant women in the state. Congress government scrapped this programme immediately after coming into power. Only 65,000 pregnant women were benefitted during Congress government's term. How will Rahul justify the decision of the govt?
5. BJP's Bhagyalakshmi scheme is one of the popular schemes. Other states even followed Karnataka government and introduced this scheme in their states. Why did CM Siddharamiah's govt cancel this programme?
