Soon, you could enjoy free internet facilities in Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses as the corporation is planning to provide free Wi-Fi facility on its buses. Already the facility is under experimentation in 200 buses and it will be extended to other buses from March, said Transport Minister HM Revanna, reports Kannada Prabha.
Speaking to newspersons on Thursday, the Minister said the free Wi Fi was a huge success among travellers, which prompted the Transport Department to extend it state-wide. The contract to install the devices on trial in 200 buses has been given to KPIT Company. From next March, the Wi Fi will be available in all KSRTC buses.
