Action against Youth Congress workers for attempt to assault media person

Synopsis

Action will be taken against Congress workers who attempted to assault media person during the protest against LPG price hike. KPCC Executive President Dinesh Gundurao will conduct an inquiry and action will be taken against the culprits. Dr Parameshwar instructed the Bengaluru City Youth Congress President and office bearers concerned to apologise to the media persons.

The Youth Congress workers protest against rise in LPG rates at the Mysuru Bank Circle.  On the occasion when they tried to cook on the road, a woman worker caught fire due to the negligence of the protesters.  When media persons tried to film it, some workers attempted to assault media persons and even damaged a camera belong to a news channel.

Dr Parameshwar gathered first-hand information about the incident and expressed unhappiness and instructed the Bengaluru City Youth Congress President Raghuveer Gowda and office bearers concerned to immediately apologise to the media persons.  He also released a press statement that action would be taken against the culprits.

He stated that he has come to know about the fire accident during the protest against price rise in LPG and the subsequent attempt to assault media persons. The media persons are invited to cover the protests and instead of facilitating them to document it, assaulting and preventing them is incorrect.  KPCC Executive President Dinesh Gundurao will conduct an inquiry and action will be taken against the culprits. Precaution will be taken to avoid any such incidents in future, he stated.
