The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed FIR against KMF officials and private builders for misappropriating 4.14 acre government land, reported Kannada Prabha.
Based on a complaint lodged by RTI activist Sai Dutta, the ACB officials filed an FIR against KMF officials, alleging transferring of 4.14 acre land valued at Rs 200 crores in Subey no 2,3,4 and 71 at Koramangala. They were joined hands by private builders.
In 1984 the then chairman of KMF K B Mallappa had written to the government that KFM was operating from rented building and requested to sanction land to construct a building. Accordingly in Koramangala survey number 2,3,4 and 71 measuring 4.14 acres was sanctioned. However, the lands were registered by the PWD Department at the Bommanahalli sub registrar’ office but without the Cabinet approval.
Within 10 days of registering the lands were transferred to PVK Infrastructure, Hysco, Hindusthan Infrastructure and other companies. Private builders have constructed huge malls and complexes on these lands. RTI activist Sai Dutta had appealed in his complaint that investigations must be held in this regard.
