15 safety features to make marks cards tamperproof

Synopsis

The marks cards will now be tamperproof with 15 safety features incorporated. Rainbow color, bar code, QR code, invisible lines, candidate’s photograph, water mark etc. Photocopy of marks card will be attested by the Department to facilitate submitting to IIT.

In a stringent measure to avoid marks cards being tampered or fake marks cards being made, the Pre University Board is introducing 15 safety features into the marks card to make it near impossible to fake.  Rainbow colors, barcode, QR code, invisible lines, candidate’s photo, watermark and such other features are incorporated. These will be difficult to copy. The purpose of this is to prevent fakie marks cards that have become rampant said PU Board officials.

Some features are invisible and only when the marks card is sent to the PU Board for verification they can check and confirm.  The marks cards will be printed after the results are announced and after the revaluation and supplementary examinations are held. Since the department is going to attest the photocopies of the marks cards it will not create problem while submitting to IITs said C Shikha, director PU Board.
