A young man's attempt to shoot a social media reel with a monkey turned dangerous after the animal suddenly attacked him in Shivamogga city's Kashipura Layout. The man, identified as Kumar Naik, suffered a serious hand injury after the monkey bit him while he was attempting to start his bike with the animal still sitting on it.
Kumar Naik, a resident of Hucharaya Colony in the area, reportedly found a monkey sitting on his bike. After seeing the animal, he decided to shoot a social media reel and apparently planned to ride the bike with the monkey nearby.
Kumar approached the bike and attempted to turn the key to start it while the monkey was still sitting on the vehicle. However, the animal suddenly attacked him and reportedly bit his hand as he approached.
The bite caused a serious injury, and Kumar struggled to pull his hand away. He suffered a deep wound and significant bleeding in the attack.
The monkey fled the spot immediately after the incident. Kumar, who was bleeding heavily from the injury, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he received treatment.
The incident highlights the risks of approaching or attempting to interact with wild animals for social media content. People are advised to maintain a safe distance from wild animals and avoid provoking or attempting to handle them.
