Bengaluru Man Kidnapped in Auto Rickshaw for Filming a Man with a Girl, 3 Arrested

Synopsis

A man in Bengaluru was kidnapped in an auto for filming a man who was with a girl. The accused forced him to delete the video before fleeing. Mahadevapura police have now arrested three people involved in the incident.

Bengaluru: It's getting pretty scary how even small issues are leading to major crimes in Silicon City. In a filmy-style kidnapping, a man was abducted in Bengaluru's Mahadevapura area just because he filmed someone on his phone. The police have now arrested three people in connection with the case.

What exactly happened?

Shabbir, also known as Sadir Kha, who is originally from Assam, works at a juice shop in Bengaluru. The whole thing started when he apparently recorded a video of a man named Sajid with a girl. When Sajid found out, he got super angry. He then hatched a plan to teach Sadir a lesson for filming his private moment.

Filmy-style kidnapping in an auto

While Sadir was near his friend's house, Sajid and four of his friends showed up in an auto and forcibly kidnapped him. This happened right in a busy area. They took him towards Ramamurthy Nagar, threatening him the whole way. The group forced Sadir to delete the video from his phone and then dropped him off and fled the scene.

Police action and arrests

As soon as he was free, Sadir went straight to the Mahadevapura police station and filed a complaint. Realising how serious this was, the police immediately started their investigation. Using technical evidence, they set a trap for the accused.

The police operation was successful, and they nabbed the main accused Sajid, another man named Subramani, and a minor. In total, five people were involved in the kidnapping. The police are now on the lookout for the other two, Vincent and Chintu, who are on the run.

Investigation continues

The police are likely to seize the auto used in the kidnapping. The Mahadevapura police are taking this case very seriously and have formed a special team to track down the remaining accused. Such kidnapping incidents in Bengaluru are making the public feel unsafe. The accused, who tried to take the law into their own hands over a mobile video, are now facing jail time.
