
A 37-year-old man in Bengaluru has filed a police complaint against his wife, Shilpa, alleging she repeatedly sexually harassed him, sent him obscene videos, and even pressured him to be intimate with one of her friends. The man also accused his wife of sharing details of their private life with others.
According to the complaint, the couple moved into a villa in Jakkuru after their wedding. He alleges that his wife and her family soon ganged up and threw him out of the house. He has blamed his in-laws for constantly interfering and making their life difficult.
He claims his mother-in-law, Asha, allegedly stopped him from entering the house and encouraged Shilpa to leave him for a “better match.” His father-in-law, Madhav Krishna, is also accused of threatening him and sending people over to their home. He alleged this constant interference was a major source of stress in their marriage.
The complainant says that when he was forced to leave, and was allowed to take only a few of his belongings. He claims that Rs 1.87 lakh in cash, gold and silver jewellery, and important documents like his passport and academic certificates were all left behind at the villa. He also alleged that his wedding photos and videos, which were saved on his laptop, were deleted.
He added that he had given his wife silver plates and lamps as wedding gifts, but he no longer has them.
He claimed his wife was unhappy with their financial status and lifestyle. He alleged that she spent her time with 'rich friends', partied frequently, and drank alcohol.
The complainant alleged his wife repeatedly sexually harassed him by sending obscene videos and forcing him to replicate the acts shown in them. He also alleged that she forced him to get intimate with one of her friends. He claims she even admitted to having an affair with an old boyfriend after their marriage.
Based on the complaint, the Bengaluru police have registered a case and launched an investigation. The wife has also reportedly filed a counter-complaint with serious allegations against her husband.
A separate FIR has been reportedly filed in Tamil Nadu regarding this matter, and that the couple already has an ongoing case in court.
