ATK Mohun Bagan is the so-called defending champion of the Indian Super League, with ATK winning the title last season, before being merged with Mohun Bagan. It is currently placed atop the table, as it takes on ninth-placed NorthEast United FC on Sunday.

ATK Mohun Bagan continues to be on a roll, as it stays atop the table of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21. The team takes on ninth-placed NorthEast United FC on Sunday.

ATKMB finished 2020 on a high, as it looks to start of 201 with a bang. Meanwhile, head coach Antonio Lopez Habas believes that his boys always click as a unit and are not concerned by the poor run of striker-captain, Roy Krishna.

“I have to analyse the performance of the whole team and not just Roy Krishna in the last matches. The team’s behaviour and performance is 100 per cent. Roy Krishna can score goals, but more important is their attitude and overall performance,” Habas said during the pre-match press conference.

Habas was also not concerned by the lack of scoring, as he believed that creating scoring opportunities is of utmost priority. “I would have been worried if didn’t create chances to score, but in football, you can do something in one situation and cannot do that in another. In football, all situations are different during the 90 minutes,” he clarified.

While Habas does not look to push for Javier Hernandez, who continues to recover from an injury, his focus is on his side, continuing with its progressive gameplay. “Being top of the table is good confidence for the team, but at the same time, it is also a big responsibility for us to continue the performance and remain at the top of the table. Our team is preparing for that,” he concluded.
