KXIP vs SRH - Punjab ready for mighty Hyderabad - Team news & likely XIs

Synopsis

Sunrisers Hyderabad have not won a single away game this season. Mohali will be hosting its first match of the IPL 2017 on Friday evening.

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will get to play their first home game of the season at the IS Bindra PCA Stadium in Mohali against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday. Previously, they were playing at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Just like the Indore wicket, the Mohali pitch is expected to produce a lot of runs as well.

SRH have not won a single match away from home and that has been their problem this season. Their last game with Royal Challengers Bangalore also got washed out and that earned them a solitary point. However, they are still comfortable and are sitting at the third spot in the IPL 2017 points table.

Sunrisers are unlikely to make changes to their squad unless they would want to accommodate Mustafizur Rahman in their playing XI. The Bangladeshi pace sensation will leave the team on May 4 to be a part of a preparatory camp ahead of the tri-series in Ireland.

Meanwhile, KXIP will be bolstered with the arrival of Darren Sammy. He could get his first game for KXIP in place of Marcus Stoinis. The Aussie all-rounder has not been able to make much of an impact. Glenn Maxwell will also want Hashim Amla to continue with his purple patch with the bat.
