The staggering weekly wages of the English Premier League superstars have always stunned us over the past few years. In case you did not know, the weekly salaries of cricketers in the IPL are no less astonishing. The most recent player to enter into the big-money league was England all-rounder Ben Stokes.

Stokes was picked up by Rising Pune Supergiant for a whopping ₹ 14.5 crores (1.7 million pounds) at the IPL 2017 auction. This made him the most expensive foreign recruit in the history of the IPL. Tymal Mills also bagged a ₹ 12 crores deal from the Royal Challengers Bangalore but he still remained the second best behind the Three Lions superstar all-rounder.

Believe it or not, Stokes’ weekly wage in the IPL 2017 is going to be more than any other English Premier League footballer. If one would want to divide his 1.7 million pound price by 8 as IPL is played for that many weeks, you will be able to figure out that his weekly wage is almost 2,18,000 pounds.
