Wife of slain NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed succumbs to injuries

Farzana Ahmed, wife of slain NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed succumbed to injuries in AIIMS on 13 April.

Farzana was critically injured when Tanzil Ahmed was attacked on the night of 2 and 3 April while returning froma wedding reception near Sahaspur village in Bijnor district.

On 12 April the UP police announed the arrest of two persons for their involvement in the murder of Tanzil Ahmed.

So far investigations have suggested a domestic dispute as the probable reason for the murder.  The police are still looking for the alleged mastermind Muneer, who had fired at the couple.
