Watch video shot by startup company of Vijayawada during coronavirus lockdown

The Ritchie Media Startup has come forward with a unique video on Vijayawada city of Andhra Pradesh during COVID-19 lockdown. The city, which earned the epithet as the ‘Place of Victory’ with a 24/7  hustle-bustle, came to grinding halt on account of the COVID-19 outbreak.   

Vijayawada: A city-based startup called Ritchie Media has captured a video that shows Andhra Pradesh’s Vijayawada under lockdown. The video of Vijayawada shows prominent places that include Benz Circle, Old and New Bus stations, Ramavarappadu junction, Bandar road, Inner Ring Road, Krishna River, Prakasam Barrage, Vijayawada Railway Station, Gandhi Hill and Chanumolu Venkata Rao flyover.

The video also portrays precautionary measures being taken by the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) and the work being done by the city police and ASHA workers. Drones spraying disinfectants in containment zones can also be seen in the video. 

The company said in a press release, "This video is a tribute to all the healthcare professionals and frontline workers and everyone who has been risking their own lives for the sake of the masses. The Andhra Pradesh government and the VMC are taking coordinated measures to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic."
