#UnmaskingChina: No Indian soldiers missing in action in Galwan, says Army

Referring to a news report claiming that soldiers are missing in action, the Indian Army clarified that all Indian troops are accounted for after the violent clash in Ladakh's Galwan Valley  

New Delhi: Indian Army dismissed the reports alleging that some Indian soldiers are missing after the clash with Chinese troops at Galwan Valley in Ladakh. According to reports, all Indian soldiers involved in the Galwan clash are accounted for.

Twenty Indian soldiers including the commanding officer of the unit that guarded the LAC (Line of Actual Control) were martyred when violent clashes broke out between the troops of Indian and Chinese armies late on Monday (June 15).

Initially, reports suggested that three soldiers, including an officer, were martyred, the numbers were confirmed by the government later during the day on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed a meeting of chief ministers, issued a stern warning to China and said that India will give a befitting reply if instigated.

After the violent, China said it does not wish to see “more clashes” with India.

According to a senior military officer, it is the first incident involving the casualty of an Indian soldier in a violent clash with the Chinese Army after 1975 when four Indian soldiers were killed in an ambush at Tulung La in Arunachal Pradesh.
