Telangana boy delivers newspapers to support his family lauded by minister KTR; watch video

Synopsis

A 12-year-old boy from Jagtial town in Telangana says his motivation to support his family and education comes from the late APJ Abdul Kalam.

Telangana minister KT Rama Rao is an active user of social media. He recently shared a video of a 12-year-old boy from Jagital who was seen delivering newspapers to help his parents and support his academics financially. In the caption of the post, the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development loved this young boy's confidence, composure and clarity of thoughts and expression.  

The 43-second clip shows a boy named Sri Prakash, a class six student at a government school, explaining that there is nothing wrong with working while studying. A passer-by stops Sri Prakash and asks why he was working rather than learning at such a young age. In reply, the class six student says, "If I work now, it will be helpful for me later." Sri Prakash says he is motivated by former Indian president APJ Abdul Kalam, a paperboy at ten.

Telangana minister KT Rama Rao showed his love towards the 12-year-old's determination. According to a report, Sri Prakash served as a paperboy since he was in the third grade. And his brother also works as a paper delivery boy before him. His father is a driver, and his mother owns a ladies' emporium. His mother stated that her son preferred to work for himself and pay for all of his expenses.

After the video was shared online, the video has accumulated over 211k and 21k likes. Social media users are absolutely in favour of this boy's maturity and confidence! Netizens also expressed their opinions in the comments section. A user wrote, "I personally feel govt. Should take an initiative to sponsor such bright kids who deserve some sought of push." Another person commented, "The condition of aspirants of 60k jobs also similar we are working in restaurants ,petrol bunks,etc... Thanks for cheating us."
