In a significant development, Ayodhya's Ram Temple Trust has roped in Tata Consultancy Service to manage the temple's account and its funds. It is said that the temple trust chief was given a presentation by experts from TCS recently. Impressed by the presentation, the trust has given a go-ahead to take over the financial accounting system and digitize.
On the backdrop of an allegation of corruption and illegal land deal in Ayodhya's Ram Mandir, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has roped in IT major Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) to officially manage the accounts of the temple trust. The IT major is likely to digitally manage the accounts from next year.
The TCS has already begun developing its software for Ram Temple Trust's accounts which has already received over Rs 3,000 crore funds. The TCS also has set up an office at the Ramjanmabhoomi's Ramghat area to speed up the process.
Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nriperndra Mishra was recently given a powerpoint presentation by IT experts from TCS about the software and its effectiveness once developed. Impressed by the presentation, the chairman had given a green signal for digitization of accounts and managing the trust's fund a few days ago.

Secretary of Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust Champat Rai has expressed his view about TCS and lauded the IT major's digital performance. While TCS will handle the digitization of accounts, CAs from the Trust's side will maintain the record of the income as well as expenses of the temple.
Earlier attempts were made to breach the trust's website by creating a fake portal with an intention to swindle money. This apart, a conman had managed to clone the cheque and withdraw cash from the account. To avoid such a situation in the future, this decision was taken.
