The Punjab hooch tragedy has claimed the life of 113 people across the three districts of Tarn Taran, Amritsar and Gurdaspur in the last one week. Sukhdev Singh, who lived in Muradpur village of Tarn Taran district, was one of those who lost their lives. According to the sources, when Sukhdev Singh’s wife received the message of her husband’s death, she suffered a shock and died.
