IAF AN-32 rescue expanded as plane remains untraceable on day 4

Indian Naval Force, Indian Air Force and Coast Guards have expanded their search operations as the IAF plane AN -32 carrying 29 personnel remain untraceable on the fourth day.
According to Rajan Bargotra, Inspector General, Coast Guard, ISRO and other government departments have been roped in for the rescue mission.
At a press conference today Bargotra said so far no debris trace has been located by any search team.
A massive search operation was launched on 22 July after the plane went missing. The IAF aircraft, with four officers on board, went missing over the Bay of Bengal on its way from Chennai to Port Blair.
In the mission to find the plane carrying 29 personnel, 13 naval vessels and 2 Coast Guard ships are working in tandem. In addition to this, 12 air sorties have been undertaken, added Bargotra. The rescue team has also expanded the search area.
Aircrafts of respective services are carrying out linear search, the IG, Coast Guard added.
