State president of the BJP's Youth Front and MP Soumitra Khan claimed that Dilip Ghosh will become the chief minister of Bengal if BJP comes to power.

Assembly polls are approaching in Bengal. In the last few years, the BJP has emerged as the main opposition party in Bengal apart from the ruling Trinamool Congress.

However, the BJP is demanding to come to power by getting more than 200 seats in Bengal in the next elections. But at the same time, the BJP has started pulling the strings to find the chief ministerial candidate.

The name of Dilip Ghosh, Suvendu Adhikari, and even Sourav Ganguly came to the fore when there was discussion regarding the selection of chief ministerial candidate. But the top leadership of BJP did not reveal anything.

During a recent visit to the state, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in response to a question, said, "Anyone who is a native of Bengal will be the Chief Minister here." But Amit Shah did not take any name.

In this situation, the state president of the BJP's Youth Front and MP Soumitra Khan said that Dilip Ghosh will become the chief minister of Bengal if BJP comes to power.

At a youth front rally at Deuli village in Dantan on Monday (January 11), Soumitra said, "The TMC will loose the upcoming Bengal polls and BJP will come to power. Dilip Ghosh will be the chief minister of the BJP. He is a real leader. He never practiced worldliness. I firmly believe that he will one day rule the kingdom.”

However, it is not yet clear whether the BJP will field a chief ministerial candidate before the polls. Since the rise of the BJP in Bengal in the 2019 elections, there has been a lot of discussion within the BJP about the Chief Ministerial candidate.

Unable to find a face to challenge Mamata Banerjee, the BJP leaders have repeatedly tried to 'face' Narendra Modi. Even leaders like Shuvendu have repeatedly said, “Bengal must be handed over to Narendra Modi.”
