He wrote, "Justice MS Liberhan’s statement “Uma Bharti categorically took responsibility for it (demolition of Babri Masjid)” reported in the print media today is not true. ... 1/4,"

... As the counsel representing Advani ji, Joshi ji & Uma Bharti ji before the Liberhan Commission, I was privy to each and every statement recorded by the Commission over 14 years. ... 2/4

... Uma Ji never made any such statement taking any responsibility for the demolition. Infact, she stated that she was sent by Advani ji to the crowd to persuade them against demolishing the structure but Kar-Sewaks sent her back, asking her to go away & to not come again. ..3/4

"... Justice Liberhan himself mentions what I stated about Uma Bharti ji in para 124.15 in Chapter 10 of the Report of Liberhan Ayodhya Commission of Enquiry submitted by him.

Justice Liberhan’s statement made today thus runs contrary to even his own report! ...4/4."

Special CBI judge Surendra Kumar Yadav delivered his verdict in the Babri Masjid demolition case on September 30, 28 years after the 16th century structure was razed by a mob in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya town.

The key accused no doubt heaved a huge sigh of relief as they were given a clean chit and the judge stated that the move of razing the structure was unintentional.

“All accused acquitted, demolition was not pre-planned,” said the judge.

The key accused in the historic case included former deputy prime minister LK Advani, former Union minister MM Joshi, former Union minister Uma Bharti and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh.
