Rajnath, who is on a two-day visit to Sikkim, arrived at the Sukna-based HQ of 33 Corps or 'Trishakti' Corps on Saturday afternoon.
Rajnath and Gen Naravane received a detailed briefing from top commanders about the situation along the LAC in Sikkim sector. Deployment of troops and weaponry were also discussed.
Defence Minister Singh had performed a 'shastra pooja' to welcome the Rafale fighter aircraft during his bilateral visit to the French port city of Bordeaux on Dussehra last year.
