
Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot has taken a big decision. Now, the Rajasthan government will provide the jawans in police and Home Guards Rs 7000 as uniform and kit allowance every year. The Home department has given its approval on the CM’s proposal. This move will benefit 90,621 personnel working in the state police department.
As Chief Minister in-charge of the Home Department, CM Ashok Gehlot had last year announced a lump sum of Rs 7000 as uniform and kit allowance for the permanent employees of Police, Jail and Home Guard Department. After getting approval for the proposal, 86,487 personnel from Police Department Constable to Assistant Sub Inspector level, 422 from Home Guard Department Constable to Head Constable and 3,712 Workmen from Jail Department to Sentinel to Sub Inspector will be benefited. The move will cost the state government a sum of Rs 63 crores 43 lakhs.
